DropDollar, LLC (“DropDollar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the StorePing mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App.
By using StorePing, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you use StorePing, you may enter or generate information such as:
- Shopping list items
- Pantry and inventory items (including expiration dates and quantities)
- Store names and preferences
- Receipt data and scanned product information
- Meal plans and recipe links
- Budget and savings goals
- Diet preferences and allergen settings
- Household and family-sharing settings
- Voice commands processed through Siri or in-app voice features
Information collected automatically
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
- Device and app data: app version, device type, and general usage needed to run features (such as daily limits, quests, and widgets)
- Location data: when you enable location features, including “Near Me,” store search, and optional geofencing alerts
- Camera and photos: when you scan barcodes or photograph receipts
- Microphone and speech: when you use voice input or speech recognition
- Purchase information: subscription status through Apple's StoreKit (we do not receive your full payment card details)
Information from third-party services
StorePing may send requests to third parties to provide features, such as:
- Apple services: iCloud, CloudKit, Siri, Shortcuts, MapKit, and App Store billing
- Open Food Facts for product and nutrition lookup
- Public retailer websites (for example Amazon, Target, and Walmart) for price and product search results
- Apple Maps / MapKit for business and store location search
When you use these features, those services may receive data such as search terms, barcodes, or approximate location, subject to their own privacy policies.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain App features (lists, inventory, deals, maps, scanning, meal planning, and gamification)
- Process barcode and receipt scans
- Show nearby stores and optional geofencing alerts
- Sync household data when you enable family sharing through iCloud
- Manage StorePing Pro subscriptions and restore purchases
- Improve reliability, security, and user experience
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising networks in the App based on our current implementation.
4. Where Data Is Stored
On your device
Most StorePing data is stored locally on your iPhone using on-device storage (including SwiftData and local preferences).
iCloud / CloudKit (optional)
If you sign in to iCloud and use household or family sharing features, selected data (such as shopping lists, inventory, meal plans, receipts, and household membership) may be stored in your private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit (iCloud.Fermoselle.ShelfSense).
This data is tied to your Apple ID and governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices.
Widgets
Home Screen widgets read summary data shared through an Apple App Group on your device. Widget data stays on your device unless you also use iCloud sharing features.
5. Location Information
StorePing uses location only when you use location-based features.
- When In Use: for maps, nearby store search, and trip-related tools
- Always (optional): only if you enable geofencing alerts for saved stores
Geofencing alerts are designed to run using on-device monitoring of your saved stores, inventory, and deals. We do not operate a separate cloud-based location tracking service for geofencing.
You can disable location access anytime in Settings → StorePing → Location.
6. Camera, Photos, Microphone, and Siri
- Camera: used for barcode scanning and receipt capture when you choose those features
- Microphone / Speech Recognition: used when you use voice input
- Siri / Shortcuts: used when you invoke StorePing through Apple's Siri and Shortcuts system
Apple processes some Siri and speech data according to your device and Apple ID settings.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
StorePing Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to unlock Pro features. We do not collect or store your credit card number.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
8. Sharing of Information
We may share information only in these situations:
- With Apple when you use iCloud, CloudKit, Siri, MapKit, widgets, or App Store purchases
- With service providers that help us operate the App (for example hosting a support website or email), under confidentiality obligations
- With household members you invite when you use family/household sharing through iCloud
- For legal reasons if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- In a business transfer if DropDollar is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice where required)
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described in this policy.
- Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App
- iCloud data remains in your Apple account until you delete it or disable iCloud for the App
- Support emails are retained as long as needed to resolve your request and maintain records
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information.
You can:
- Edit or delete lists, inventory, and other content in the App
- Turn off location, camera, microphone, and Siri permissions in iOS Settings
- Disable iCloud sharing by signing out of iCloud or not using household features
- Cancel subscriptions through Apple
- Contact us to request access or deletion of support-related information

11. Children's Privacy
StorePing is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International Users
If you use StorePing from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
